Bronx Fellowship is a network of basic Christian communities. Sometimes these type of groups may be called house churches; however, each group may gather in a home, an office, a diner, or any meeting place that fits with that particular group. Because these gatherings take place in small groups, we are able to discuss the Bible, ask questions, pray for one another, eat together, and various other activities. Meetings are kept simple, and the atmosphere is often casual. We recognize that just as life is sometimes “messy,” God also works in our “messiness,” and as an effort to follow Jesus’ teachings, we recognize that God works powerfully through one another. |

At various times during the year, Bronx Fellowship meets together as a network. Our faith communities gather together for worship, teaching, service, prayer, and encouragement. We usually schedule a network gathering once a month. Many teaching meetings take place in a rented space*, and during the summer we often come together for cookouts or picnics in city parks. We also join together for an annual retreat that usually takes place a couple of hours outside of the city at a camp location. |
